Lap Swimming Guidelines
You must have an active WestFit account to reserve lanes.
- A cleansing shower MUST be taken before entering the pool
- Members on Individual, Duo, or Family accounts have a 24hr booking window.

- Members on WF Individual Gold have a 72hr booking window.

- All booked reservations require a 4-hour cancelation. Any reservations canceled inside 4 hours will receive a $15 late cancel fee. This rule also applies to lanes that are not canceled and the member does not show up.
- Once you make a pool reservation you are locked into that time. If you need to change your reservation the same 4-hour rule applies. If you try to change your time inside 4 hours, you will receive a $15 late cancel fee on the first lane. Any changes outside 4 hours you can cancel and reprocess in the APP without a fee.
- Lane reservations are for the member who booked them. Sharing of lanes is optional and reserved for the member who booked the lane to make the decision. Please be respectful of swimmers who wish to not share.
- Reservations are made in PERSON or via the WestFit APP. Reservations will not be made over the phone.
- If you would like an extension, check with the front desk staff when you arrive.
- If you have any equipment used during your reservation, please return it to the appropriate storage shed.
September 1, 2024 – Accounts with children.
- The below changes mainly effect child accounts, designed to open lane availability during the high usage months.
- ONLY accounts 16 years and older can book their own swim lane. Westford Town Pool By-laws require all solo swimmers to be 16 years or older without a lifeguard on duty.
- Accounts under 15 years of age can still swim at anytime under an account 18 years or older.

- For example, if you have a Family membership with (2) adults and (3) kids under 15y. In the past you were able to book (5) 30 min time slots. To help with access to lanes this rule will now allow only the (2) adult accounts to make reservations. The children 15y and under on the account must share with the adult or use the adult’s lane solo. See the below guidelines for 15y and under solo use with adult supervision.

- For a child 15y and under to swim in a lane the adult must book the lane under their name. If the child requires any type of safety device for swimming the adult MUST be in the water at arm’s length with the child. If the child does not require a safety device the adult MUST supervise the child from the pool deck.
- The new changes will take effect on 9/1/2024. The new rules will be activated inside the reservation systems software.
Pool Reservation Cancelation and No-show policy
Pool lanes can be reserved 24hrs in advance. Any changes to the reservation within 4 hours of the start time will be result in a $15.00 fee. Changes include; canceling, moving the reservation, or not showing up for the scheduled lane. The Fee is applied to each person on the account that was booked and cancelled or did not show up. Any changes made to a reservation outside 4 hours will not be penalized.
