Pool Usage & Lap Swimming Guidelines
Our pool continues to experience high demand, across members, swim school students, and our competitive teams. For the enjoyment and safety of all, we ask that you follow the below guidelines.
- You must have an active WestFit account to reserve a lane.
- ONLY accounts 16 years and older can book their own swim lane.
- Westford Town Pool By-laws require all solo swimmers to be 16 years or older without a lifeguard on duty.
- All swimmers MUST take a cleansing shower before using the pool.
- Children under 14 years old are NOT allowed in the hot tub.
- This includes sitting along the side and putting their legs in the water.
- This is a Westford town rule, not a club rule.
- Lane reservations must be made via the APP
- Reservations will not be accepted over the phone
- Lane reservations are for the member who booked them.
- Sharing of lanes is optional and reserved for the booking member to make the decision.
- Please be respectful of swimmers who wish to not share.
- Cancelations of your reserved lane must be made via the Westfit APP, do not call the club.
- A $15 penalty fee will be imposed for any cancelations under 4 hrs.
- Photography/Video recording of any kind is prohibited in the pool area.
- Ensure all equipment is returned neatly to its original storage location immediately after use
- Do NOT open the shed marked “Aquatic Staff”.
- Children who cannot swim must be accompanied IN THE WATER by a parent or guardian.
- Simply putting your child in a life vest and letting them swim unassisted is not allowed.
- The parent/guardian must be physically in the water with their child.
- The handicap chairs located in front of lane 5 & 6 must remain clear of bags and towels so they are available for handicap usage.
- Please do not use them as a table.
Pool Reservation Cancelation and No-show policy
Pool lanes can be reserved 24hrs in advance. Any changes to the reservation within 4 hours of the start time will be result in a $15.00 fee. Changes include; canceling, moving the reservation, or not showing up for the scheduled lane. The Fee is applied to each person on the account that was booked and cancelled or did not show up. Any changes made to a reservation outside 4 hours will not be penalized.
